JoEllen Keller
Challenge Ropes Coordinator
JoEllen Keller, B.A., has approximately 25 years of experience in developing and facilitating life skills programs in South Florida. She specializes in the use of adventure-based activities and has been the Challenge Ropes Coordinator and instructor for SalusCare Inc in Fort Myers on numerous occasions dating back to 1995.
Prior to that, she used her life skills training as Program Coordinator for the Independent Living Skills Program under contract with the State of Florida and was Program Director for Youth Shelter of Southwest Florida.
A graduate of the University of South Florida, JoEllen is a certified instructor in first aid, CPR and wilderness first aid by the American Red Cross, as well as a certified HIV/AIDS counselor and an aggression control instructor. JoEllen has undergone extensive continuing education through Project Adventure, the manufacturers of the Challenge Ropes Course, in corporate development, leadership skills, adventure-based counseling, safety skills and standards, and equipment maintenance, and has completed the requirements to become a Certified Challenge Ropes Course Instructor.
She also is a contributing author of Metaphorical Potluck, a book and video being produced by Project Adventure and the instructional book, 100 of the Nation's Most Creative Life Skills Trainings.
